Under 10 League:

23/4/06 Dunboyne 9-4 v O' Mahonys 1-0

A great start to the league under the captaincy of Elaine Doyle. Dunboyne scored early and often with Ruth and Zoe in serious goalscoring mode, Ashling & Aifric dominating midfield and nothing getting past Caoimhe, Maeve, Claire, Sinead or Ciara in defence. Super performances from Michelle, Clare, Ailbhe, Laura, Colleen and Emily up front made it a great day for Dunboyne in Navan.

27/4/06 Dunboyne 4-5 v Royal Gaels 1-1

A great performance from Dunboyne against a strong Dunshaughlin opposition. Ruth again had her goalscoring boots on, netting three times. Zoe kicked three excellent points and a goal & two points from our midfield dynamo, Ashling. Our captain, Claire, led a resolute defence with great performances from Louise, Caoimhe, Maeve, Sinead and Ciara.

13/5/06 Dunboyne 3-11 v Boardsmill 1-0

Another superb performance by Dunboyne against current table-toppers Boardsmill. The midfield duo of Aifric & "Lady of the Match" Ashling contributed an amazing 2-7 to Dunboyne's impresssive total. Superb performance from Aoife in attack with 3 points from her three shots. Elaine & Louise were in top form in goal. Sinead, Laura, Colleen, Ailbhe, Roisin, Emily, Claire, Maeve, Ciara, Caoimhe, Lauren, Clare, Ruth and captain Zoe all contributed to a magnificant victory. The long hard nights of winter training are really paying off !!.

A close one this, played in dreadful conditions. Aoife McIntyre and Ashling Garvey score enough on the day.

1/6/06 Dunboyne 6-7 v Simonstown Gaels 3-2

A solid performance, led by captain Clare Gilligan.

15/6/06 Dunboyne 6-4 v Ratoath 1-0

Caoimhe leads the team to a well deserved victory.

20/6/06 Dunboyne 5-8 v Ashbourne 2-1

Another great team performance culminates in our first victory over reigning county champions in two years. Once again Louise Nixon produces a number of wonder-saves in goals.

1/7/06 Quarter Final: Dunboyne 2-9 v Royal Gaels 0-0

A large band of supporters (including the Under 14s) travel to Drumree and are not disappointed. The unbeaten run continues.

2/9//06 Semi-final: Dunboyne 4-6 v Simonstown Gaels 1-2

Super team performance. Playing with the wind in the first half, Dunboyne chalk up a healthy 3-5 without reply. In the second half, a great defensive display, led by Elaine Doyle & Aine Dunne keep Simonstown at bay.

16/9//06 Final: Dunboyne 5-6 v Ashbourne 2-1

Having put in two hard weeks of training, Dunboyne arrived in Ratoath ready to reclaim the trophy last won by the club in 2002. Dunboyne started slightly nervously, but an early point by Zoe Kelly settled the team down. Louise Nixon in the Dunboyne goal was frustrating Ashbourne with some excellent saves and clearances. Very little was getting past the Dunboyne half back line of Caoimhe Curran, Elaine Doyle and Claire Buckley, and anything that did was being dealt with by Aine Dunne and Sinead Clince. A very competitive first half saw Dunboyne going in at the break a goal to the good 1-4 v 1-1. Dunboyne stepped up a gear after the break. Aifric O' Malley and captain Ashling Garvey began to dominate in midfield. Michelle Melia scored a great goal to put more daylight between the teams. Up front, Lauren Byrne and Aoife McIntyre were fighting for every ball. Ciara Murphy made a crucial goal line save just as Ashbourne appeared to be coming back into the game. Claire Gilligan put over another point. Then a lovely move down the right resulted in Ruth Glynn placing a lovely cross-field pass into the path of the in-rushing Ashling Garvey, who finished the move with a wonderful goal. Maeve Clince and Coleen Carey were now dominating in defence and Ailbhe Travers, Orlaith Tiernan, Roisin Barrett and Emily Dobbs were keeping the Ashbourne backs busy. When excellent referee Daragh McGill from Ratoath blew for full-time it was time for the Dunboyne girls to celebrate. This great team had kept their unbeaten run going right to the end and brought the U10 Cup back to Dunboyne.

Another classic encounter between these two very closely matched teams, with Dunboyne just shading this one by a point.

28/4/06 Dunboyne 0-2 v O' Mahonys 5-8

A tough encounter for Dunboyne in Navan against a physically stronger O'Mahonys. Dunboyne battled hard to the end.

13/5/06 Dunboyne 2-2 v Ratoath 3-3

A good result for the young Dunboyne team against on of the competition favourites.

Dunboyne struggle against a very strong Ashbourne team.

A crucial match this in terms of semi-final qualification. Dunboyne put up a brave fight but just fall short.

Having been well beaten by Navan earlier in the season, the Dunboyne U12s really showed great character by pushing Navan all the way in this Division 1 semi-final. Dunboyne were within a point of Navan at half-time.

25/4/06 Dunboyne 4-2 v Ratoath 5-11

The best performance of this Dunboyne team against league favourites, Ratoath, in Sean Eiffe Park for a few seasons. The gap between both teams is narrowing. Dunboyne, under superb coach, Tommy Doyle, should take great encouragement from this performance (Irish Times - 26/4/06)

Under 12 Gaelic Community Games 2004

Dunboyne Take Bronze !!

This years under 12 Ladies Football Meath Community Games was held on Sunday 23th May 2004 in Ratoath GFC.

Played in beauliful sunny conditions the under 12 team competed in four matches against Dunshaughlin, Ratoath, Skyrne and Summerhill.

Having lost their opening match to eventual winners Ratoath, the Dunboyne girls bounced back with two wins on the trot against Summerhill and Skyrne. Their final match against Dunshaughlin was a very close affair, finishing level at full time, with Dunboyne losing out in extra time.

Highlights of the tournament were superb points from Orla Higgins & Bronagh Moloney and a hat-trick by Emma Wood against Summerhill.

Well done to her entire team for their enthusiasm, team spirit and performance on the day.
